We cannot live through all the ages of this land in peace. There will always be one who seeks something more, always one who wishes to bring chaos upon these people.

- Grimsmith

A kingdom. A throne. A crown. Two brothers.

For years, the land of Ilya has lived in peace, men, elves and dwarves alike. But things are changing.

Since the war, nothing has been the same. The land lives in segregation, tension now living between the men and elves. Without the command of Luthien, rightful heir and High King of Orathin, who perished battling his brother for the throne, each kingdom is left to its own rule. Orathin is now in ruin, abandoned.

Or so it was thought.

Nobody truly knows what happened to the High King's brother, Sindir, during the war. For after the death of his brother, he was not seen again. It was assumed that he too, perished.

Yet the truth cannot be so simple, for we all believe what we wish to believe.

Thalia Valiekka, a young elf living in the hillside kingdom of Lsthrain, embarks on a journey with Killian Witherion, her childhood best friend and prince of Lsthrain, to track a troll that was spotted scouting their borders. Yet what they discover is far more disturbing than a mere beast prowling their kingdom.

A pack of blood thirsty creatures, not seen since the war, are discovered in the forest. They are plotting alongside the trolls to breach Lsthrain, for they seek Valindor, the ancient sword that may permit their leader to ascend Orathin's throne once more. For years, it has been assumed lost. Yet now, a new lead points to Thalia, and to Lsthrain, where the racai believe the secret to Valindor's location lies.

Yet the reluctant king refuses to believe Sindir is still alive, in doing so, he may cause the downfall of his kingdom, and descend the land into chaos. Thalia refuses to let this happen.

Valindor is the only thing that has the power to kill Sindir, the cold hearted brother. Without it in his possession, he is forever at risk, unable to step out from the shadows and ascend the throne once more.

Against the will of her king, Thalia departs Lsthrain, willing to do what her king refuses to. To search for the truth. To search for Valindor.

In doing so, she has betrayed her king, and left her best friend, and home, behind. All over a mere suspicion.

Can she reach Valindor before Sindir does, or will she lead him straight to it?

Is her suspicion correct? Or has everything she has done been for nothing?
